Is this tool free to use?

Yes, dst.embfree.com is completely free to use. No registration required. Upload, convert, split, and download your embroidery files without any cost.

Are my files stored on your server?

Files are temporarily stored for processing and are automatically deleted after a short period. We do not keep or share your embroidery designs.

What is the maximum file size I can upload?

Currently, we support embroidery files up to 10MB in size. This covers most standard embroidery design files. Files are validated for security and format compatibility before processing.

Is my data secure? How do you protect against security threats?

Yes, your data is secure. We implement multiple security measures including: File validation to prevent malicious uploads, Input sanitization to prevent injection attacks, Path traversal protection using secure filename handling, File size limits to prevent DoS attacks, and Format verification to ensure only valid embroidery files are processed. All files are automatically deleted after processing.

Can I convert images to embroidery formats?

Yes! You can upload image files (PNG, JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, WEBP) and convert them to embroidery formats. The tool automatically traces the image and creates an embroidery pattern. Note that complex images may require manual editing for best results.

What happens if my file format is not in the list?

If your embroidery format is not directly supported, try converting it to a common format like DST or PES first using another tool, then use our converter. We continuously add support for new formats based on user feedback and library updates.
